About Blumgi Ball

Blumgi Ball starts as slingshot basketball — pull back, judge the arc, release, watch it drop through the hoop. That alone would be a competent physics game. What lifts it is that you can teleport to wherever the ball currently is, which means a shot that misses is not over. The teleport turns each level into a route rather than a single throw. You can deliberately bank the ball somewhere awkward, warp to it, and shoot again from a position you could never have reached otherwise. The description is explicit that this opens up chain combos, and that is exactly how the harder levels are meant to be approached. The game describes itself as a sports title combining platformer and puzzle genres, and that mix is accurate — the shooting is arcade basketball, but working out the sequence of throws and teleports is puzzle thinking. Points from completed levels unlock additional characters, giving the practice somewhere to go.

How to Play

On computer, aim and shoot by left-clicking, dragging, and releasing — pull the indicator further back for a harder throw. Press the spacebar to teleport to your ball's current position. On a phone or tablet, use swipes to aim and shoot.

Tips & Tricks

Use the teleport to turn a bad shot into a new opportunity rather than restarting — the ability exists precisely so a missed throw becomes a second position to shoot from. Softer throws are easier to follow up, since a hard shot ricochets somewhere awkward and teleporting there leaves you with a worse angle than you started with.
