By accessing or using the website located at https://zorkgames.com (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Site. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Site following any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We will indicate the date of the most recent update at the top of this page.

Zork Games is operated by Only One Publishing.

2. Description of Service

Zork Games provides a screened collection of free HTML5 browser games embedded from GameMonetize, a third-party game licensing platform. Our Site allows you to discover and play these games directly in your web browser without requiring a download or account registration. The games themselves are hosted and operated by GameMonetize and the original game developers — we provide the interface and discovery experience.

Access to our Site and the games on it is provided free of charge. We may display advertising through our ad management partner (Ezoic) to support the operation of the Site. The games also may contain their own advertising as provided by GameMonetize and the game developers.

3. Use of the Service

You may use our Site for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes only. By using the Site, you agree that you will not:

  • Use the Site in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations
  • Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security features of the Site
  • Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or other software to access or index the Site at a rate or in a manner that could damage our servers or infrastructure
  • Misrepresent your identity or impersonate any person or organization
  • Send us any content by email that is illegal, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable

  • Embed or republish the game iframes from our Site onto other websites without obtaining the appropriate licenses from GameMonetize directly

The design, layout, text, graphics, and other original content of the Zork Games website (excluding the embedded games) are owned by Zork Games and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any portion of our site content without prior written permission.

4.2 Game Content

All games available on our Site are the intellectual property of their respective developers and publishers. These games are licensed through GameMonetize under agreements between GameMonetize and the game developers. We do not claim any ownership over game content. All trademarks, trade names, and service marks displayed within the games are the property of their respective owners.

GameMonetize's terms and the original game developers' terms govern your use of the game content itself. By playing a game on our Site, you are interacting directly with GameMonetize's infrastructure and agree to comply with GameMonetize's terms of service.

5. User Conduct

Our Site is intended to provide an enjoyable gaming experience for all visitors. We ask that all users interact with the Site and its contact features respectfully. When emailing us, please provide accurate information and do not send spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or content that is offensive, threatening, or otherwise harmful.

We reserve the right to refuse service or block access to any user or IP address at our sole discretion, including but not limited to cases of abuse, violation of these Terms, or interference with the normal operation of our Site.

Our Site integrates with third-party services including GameMonetize (game hosting), Cloudflare (hosting and CDN), and Ezoic (advertising and analytics). Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party service.

Our Site may contain links to external websites. These links are provided for your convenience, and we have no control over the content or policies of those external sites. A link from our Site does not imply our endorsement of the linked site.

7. Disclaimers

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT, GAMES, AND SERVICES AVAILABLE ON OR THROUGH THE SITE ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the games available on the Site will always remain available — game availability is subject to GameMonetize's agreements with game developers.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, Zork Games, ITS OPERATORS, AND CONTRIBUTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE OR ANY CONTENT, GAMES, OR SERVICES AVAILABLE ON OR THROUGH THE SITE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site shall not exceed fifty dollars ($50.00 USD).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Zork Games and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, and fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the Site.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration or resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction.
