About Boom Wheels

Boom Wheels is a go-kart racer built around power-ups. Each track has its own character, and the pickups — speed boosts and offensive items among them — are what turn a race from a driving line into a series of decisions about when to use what. It is cheerful and fast rather than simulation-minded, which suits the format.

How to Play

On desktop, drive with WASD or the arrow keys and press the spacebar to use a power-up. On mobile, touch the left and right sides of the screen to steer, touch the brake icon to slow down, and swipe up to use a power-up.

Tips & Tricks

Hold a speed boost for a straight rather than firing it the moment you pick it up — used in a corner most of the extra speed goes into the barrier. Watch what is ahead before using an offensive item; spending one on an opponent you were about to pass anyway wastes the pickup.
