About Color Screw 3D

Color Screw 3D is a sorting puzzle built around a hard constraint. You unscrew coloured bolts from a mechanical structure and drop them into matching colour boxes — but each box holds only three, and that limit is what turns a simple sorting task into something you have to think about. The structure itself responds physically. Once a bolt stops supporting a part, that part falls away, which exposes layers underneath that were not visible when you started. So the order you work in matters twice over: it determines whether your boxes overflow, and it determines what you can even reach next. Turning the object to see what is behind it is a necessary part of play rather than a cosmetic flourish.

How to Play

On PC, hold the right mouse button and drag to rotate the structure, then click any bolt to unscrew it. On mobile, swipe to rotate the object a full 360 degrees and tap a bolt to remove it. Sort each bolt into the box matching its colour — every box has only three available slots.

Tips & Tricks

Rotate the structure fully before removing anything. Bolts hidden behind the object are still part of the puzzle, and starting without seeing them is how boxes end up filled with the wrong colours. When two colours are close to filling their boxes, deal with whichever one has fewer bolts still visible first — the other may have more hidden behind a part that has not fallen away yet.
