About Foodies 2048

Foodies 2048 takes the sliding-merge format and swaps numbers for fruits and berries. Merge two identical items and they become the next fruit up the chain, working toward the rarer and more exotic ones. The controls are unusually flexible for the genre, with three separate schemes so it plays naturally on whatever device you happen to be using.

How to Play

Three control schemes are available. On mobile, swipe in the direction you want the board to shift. On desktop, either hold and drag with the right mouse button, or use WASD or the arrow keys. Identical fruits that collide merge into the next fruit up.

Tips & Tricks

Pick one direction you never swipe and stick to it — keeping your largest fruit anchored in a corner is what stops the board filling with orphaned pieces. Merge along a single edge where you can, since scattering large fruits across the middle leaves nothing able to combine.
