About Ice Fishing

Ice Fishing is a fishing game with an actual mechanic underneath the calm: line tension. A warning indicator tells you when the line is under strain, so bringing in a big fish means easing off rather than reeling continuously. Location and bait choice both matter, and the game is explicit that rushing the float is how catches are lost.

How to Play

Choose your location and bait, then cast. Use the large arrows in the upper right and lower right corners of the screen to catch and reel. Watch the tension warning in the upper left corner — pulling too hard risks losing the fish, so do not rush the float.

Tips & Tricks

Ease off whenever the tension warning appears rather than reeling through it; the indicator exists because the line breaks, and a big fish lost is worth more than the seconds saved. Change bait if a location stops producing rather than moving immediately — bait is the faster variable to test.
